This sale is for an Epsa Optel Dynamic Scattering ( DSM ) LCD Digital Table Desk Clock . Circa 1976 .
A real classic and iconic directors desk clock . Circa 1972 . This is an amazing and very rare clock only affordable to the wealthiest jetsetters of business in the early 70s . It is a historically important item that would sit well in any technology museum . In full working order , holding time and comes with original box .
American company Optel developed this in conjunction with Swiss watch manufacturers to make the very first digital display . The Dynamic Scattering display was only marketed for 2 years before field effect LCD display was developed and still used today .
In great condition and all original . Features smoky clear plastic base and a blue crackle paint finish to the clock itself . Batteries are easy to get and nothing special , the setting tool is present . Clear display with no missing segments and absolutely fully working .
This clock is the holy grail and seriously collectible for technology , clock and watch enthusiasts . These are getting harder to get in nice condition and going up in value .
