ORIGINAL 1970S RETRO WATCH

WESTCLOX - QUARTZMATIC LCD DIGITAL QUARTZ REF    F1015

A very rare watch and an important part of watch development . Marketed by Westclox , the Module is the first "Field-Effect" type, made by American Microsystems Inc (AMI), a direct competitor to Optel and their F.E Model circa 1973.

This watch is brand new and been in storage since it was new in 73 . Comes totaly mint apart from any storage or handling marks ( check the pictures out ) . The display is perfect and the functions working perfectly . This module it only tells the time and nothing else because that was as far as technology would allow . There is no date and seconds are shown by the blinking of the dots between mins and hours . The time is set by turning the crown for hours then pull the crown out one click and turn it again for mins . A very rare crown set system not found in today's watches . The case is in chromium plate with starburst effect on the front and brushed sides . It is on its original bracelet and complete with its original box . It is running perfectly and holding time with a new battery recently fitted . This watch is a real investment and such a rare piece that you are unlikely to find one any where else and especially in this condition .
