TRADITION ELECTRONIC
Tradition was a private label for Sears in the early 1970s and made these fabulous quality Swiss made electronic watches. Not to be confused with a quartz watch because there is no quartz crystal in here. It uses a Dynatron ESA 9158 movement. Inside you will find an electro-magnet and circuit board to swing the balance wheel and from there on is just like a mechanical watch but with just a different power source. The movement is featured on page 123 of Pieter Doensens famous " Watch " book. The watch is brand new old stock and mint condition with no storage or handling marks at all. Its dial is so handsome in gold with large gold and black hour batons and hands. It is also furnished with a quick set day/date window at 3 . The dial is immaculate with no patina or unwanted marks and the mineral glass crystal is scratch free. It has a huge chunky case in high polished gold plate. Fitted on its original, quality leather strap in a grained tan . Running perfectly having just been serviced and holding time very well. Rare, handsome, collectable and at this price is an investment.
