TITUS TUNING FORK ELECTRONIC F300Hz REF JA0932
A rare treat for all you electric watch lovers - classic 1970s watch using the latest electronic technology and the cutting edge of its time. The movement is based around Bullova's Accutron system of using a tuning fork that is vibrated by small electro magnets and the vibrations are used as the power source for the watches mechanical movement.
Serious collectors out there will notice this is named Titus on the dial but is identical in every respect apart from the dial , to a model by Omega. In fact is the same watch but marketed under a different name. Titus bought all of Omegas old stock at some time in the 1970s and this is born out by even the crystal still having the Omega symbol in the middle . It is extremely accurate and allowed Omega to market theirs with a chronometer badge. Swiss made and it really shows with this fantastic build quality, being hewed out of solid stainless steel for the case and bracelet. This model is brand new and old stock that has been in storage since the 1970s. Mint with not a single scratch or mark anywhere . Time is shown on a sunken dial in pinstriped black and sporting chrome/white batons and a quick set date. It is running perfectly and holding time and you can here the classic Accutron humming when you put it to your ear.
