ORIGINAL 1970's RETRO WATCH
TITUS TUNING FORK ELECTRONIC F300Hz- REF 12JA35
A very high grade watch and cutting edge technology of its time . Based around Bullova's Accutron system of using a tuning fork that is vibrated by electro magnets and the vibrations are used as a power source for the watch mechanical parts . The movement is a Mosaba ESA 9162 which is also used by Omega IWC , Eterna , Tissot , Zenith , Certina , Baume and Rado as well as others . Circa 1969 to 1976 . Very sought after and collectible .
Serious collectors out there know this is named Titus on the dial but is same model as an F300Hz model by Omega. In fact is the same watch but marketed by Titus with Omega stock parts . It is extremely accurate and allowed Omega to market theirs with a chronometer badge. Swiss made and it really shows with this fantastic build quality, being hewed out of solid stainless steel for the case and bracelet. It is very heavy and you certainly know it is on your wrist. This model is brand new and old stock that has been in storage since the 1970s. Mint with not a single scratch or mark . Time is shown on a deep set dial in blue with pin stripes and furnished with chrome/white hour batons and hands . It is running perfectly having just been serviced and holding time and you can here the classic Accutron humming when you put it to your ear. Fits up to a huge 8" wrist and large dimensions all round on this serious man retro watch
