ORIGINAL 1970S RETRO WATCH

TITUS ( OMEGA ) TUNING FORK ELECTRONIC F300Hz DIVERS REF DE0813

A rare treat for all you electric watch lovers - classic 1970s watch using the latest electronic technology and the cutting edge of its time . This is serious quality and these electronic watches are getting very collectable . The movement is based around Bullova's Accutron system of using a tuning fork that is vibrated by small electro magnets and the vibrations are used as the power source for the watches mechanical movement . Serious collectors out there will notice this is named Titus on the dial but is identical in every respect to a model by Omega . In fact is the same watch but marketed under a different name . It is extremely accurate and allowed Omega to market there’s with a chronometer badge . Swiss made and it really shows with this fantastic build quality , being hewed out of solid stainless steel for the case and bracelet . It is very heavy and you certainly know it is on your wrist . This model is a fine example and very very rare being a divers model . In brand new condition because it has been in storage for the last 40 years with no scratches or unwanted marks at all apart from very slight patina to the hands . Time is shown on a sunken dial in black with luminous batons and a quick set date . The crown is screw down like all good divers watches and it features a rotating outer bezel . It is running perfectly and holding time ( here the classic Accutron humming when you put it to your ear ) . Fits up to a huge 8" wrist and large dimensions all round on this serious mans retro watch .
