ORIGINAL 1980S RETRO WATCH

TISSOT F1 DIGITAL SENSOR WATCH . REF JLY114           

High class and top quality quartz digital watch from Tissot using an Omega movement Cal 1640 ( Omega and Tissot are owned by the same company ) . The plastic lug on top of the case is signed " Tissot " and the sensor panel is signed  " F1 " . These were cutting edge technology from 1980 . I believe they were the first watch with a touch sensitive panel for operating . The panel with   -    ---------    +    on it is used to select the mode and also used to set the time and other features . A quick swipe of the panel advances or retards the hours and a slow swipe does the same for mins . This watch is jam packed with functions and easy to operate . Although the watch does not have its original instructions if you email me I can send a photo-copy . Its features are Chronograph , Timer ( countdown ) , Alarm 1 ( rendezvous ) , Alarm 2 ( wake up ) , Hour signal , Agenda 1 ( memorising date ) , Agenda 2 ( memorising second date ) , T2 ( another time zone ) and finally Calendar . All of these functions can be operated with the time still displayed at the same time on the top screen . The watch is in full working order with a clear display , loud alarm and bright night light .

This is a very very rare and hard to find model and so period looking with a handsome blue dial . Case and bracelet are in very mint condition and barely looks used . It has not been refinished and is totally original . Apart from a couple of tiny minuscule marks and a bit of the silver paint rubbed of " TISSOT "  is nearly as good as the day it left the factory . The bracelet has all of its original links and is made from solid instead of pressed steel . The crystal is mineral glass and mark free . Signed on dial , movement , back cover and bracelet . These rare digitals are becoming more and more scarce and very hard to find so make a great investment
