ORIGINAL 1970S RETRO WATCHTISSOT BUGGY AUTOLUB REF N0857
Here is a fine example of the very rare Tissot buggy autolub in new old stock condition. This watch is not a remake, it is a genuine old stock piece that has been in storage from the 1980s and is now your chance to own it again. This is a wind-up mechanical movement was a result of extensive research into new technologies and experiments with new materials by Tissot. Known as " Tissot Research Idea 2001 “, also called the Astrolon. Developed by Tissot as an inexpensive design since some of the gear wheels are made of plastic unfortunately it proved to be insufficiently accurate and was a marketing disaster. This Swiss made watch is exceptionally rare, especially as there were very few ever made and not many examples available today. It has classic 1970s design and rings all the right bells with retro fans. The handsome dial is in black with Arabic numerals and furnished with day/date window at 3. Its case is unusual with gloss black anodise chrome and totally mintmark free condition. The movement is held in a plastic cup, which is freed from the case by removing two sliding blades. It comes on a black rubber strap and also includes the Tissot swing tag. A must for any serious watch collector as well as fans of anything retro. This is a highly sought after piece of horological history in great condition.
