ORIGINAL 1970S RETRO WATCH
MOVADO / ZENITH EL PRIMERO CHRONOGRAPH WATCH REF DE07143
This is the only one of these models i have ever seen signed by Movado on the dial . It is very rare indeed . Movado and Zenith being same company . A few of these do come up for sale occasionally but try finding a Movado one and you will struggle . I love high class chronographs and this is one of the best you will ever see . Just take a look at the movement in this watch - the revolutionary El Primero piece oscillates at a frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour and this movement is even used by Zeniths competitors . It is such a huge and handsome watch and although it is used it is in really great condition with no heavy dings or deep scratches ( only real scratches are tool marks to the back cover ) . Top quality , Swiss manufacture and a style that doesn't ever look dated . The blue dial is sunk deep into its square recess and sports chrome batons and hands with two sub dials for chrono feature and a third ( at nine o clock ) showing running seconds . Furnished with a quick set date window between 4 and 5 o clock . The dial is clean and patina free and the sapphire crystal is scratch free . The case and original bracelet are hewed out of solid stainless . Very heavy duty and robust indeed . Fits on a 7.5" wrist and i believe more links can still be obtained . It has signed movement , crown , dial and clasp and comes in its original box . It screams quality and class at you and is a great investment . When these are bought at second hand prices and kept in the same condition they will never devalue unlike your car . It hold absolutely perfect time and the chrono snaps back to zero when reset just like it should . This was serviced about a couple of months ago and has been in a draw ever since . For the serious collector or connoisseur.
