SEIKO AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH

This is an awesome gents chrono from seiko and in fabulous used condition . Model 6139-7080 with electric blue dial and tachymeter . First put in production in 1969 and still widely sought after and collected . These are fast becoming scarce watches and in this nice condition are seldom seen . Its crown is used to quick set the day and date by pushing it in , the top chrono button is for start and stop and the bottom chrono button for reset . Its dial is set with a sub dial showing elapsed mins , sports luminous hour batons and uses red hands to show chronograph features . The dial is excellent condition although some of the lettering under the Seiko badge has very slight fading . Its crystal is hardlex and scratch free . The case and original bracelet are in stainless steel and show virtually no marks at all . All in all it is very nice indeed and the rare original bracelet makes this watch fit sizes up to 7 1/2" . The movement has recently been serviced and is running smoothly and holding time well , with the chronograph function snapping back to zero just as it should . My first passion was for Seiko watches and find the quality of them is as good as any Swiss time piece and there longevity is second to non . This has got to be one of the nicest model Seiko ever made and certainly a quality watch . It screams 1970s and has a fabulous auto chrono movement but you would have to be a wealthy man back then to buy one . My personal one of these does not sit in a draw with my other watches as it has to be my every day watch .
