ORIGINAL 1970S RETRO WATCH
SEIKO WORLD TIMER LCD
This is an awesome gents digital LCD watch from Seiko and this is the rather rare World Timer model M158-5009 from 1970s. It looks very nearly new but I think the case has had a light buff, the crystal has some hard to see tiny chips to one edge and the battery hatch shows signs of tooling where it has been opened. However it is one of the best examples I have seen of this watch. Famous for having a green display, you will find this watch is in perfect working order and the digits are clear and bright with no missing segments. Features the time with day/date and using the crown you can select a second time zone from the cities around the world that are printed on the dial. It is in full and perfect working including the night-light. Totally original and also complete with original bracelet and Seiko swing tag. The bracelet has all of its original links and allows this watch to fit a huge 8 3/4" wrist. There are no operating instructions but it is not rocket science and part of the fun is working out how it works. My first passion was for Seiko watches and find the quality of them is as good as any Swiss timepiece and there longevity is second to none. It screams retro and because it was new technology you would have to have been a wealthy man back then to buy one.
