ORIGINAL 1970S RETRO WATCH

This is an awesome gents chrono from Seiko and in fabulous used condition . Model 6138-3000 Seiko automatic Chronograph . First put in production in 1971 and still widely sought after and collected . These are fast becoming scarce watches and in this nice condition are seldom seen . Its crown is also used to quick set the day and date by pulling out to first click and rotating , the top chrono button is for start and stop and the bottom chrono button for reset . Its has a very handsome , two tiered dial in a greeny blue . The hour markers and hands are very clearly layed out in white with the yellow hands for chronograph functions . Set with two sub dials showing elapsed mins at 6 o clock and the one at 12 showing elapsed hours . The dial is mint and completely flawless , the minute has has two small marks . Fitted with a mineral glass crystal that is scratch free but has a couple of small chips to its huge 38mm hardlex crystal . The case - massive and all in stainless steel , it is in very nice condition with no serious scratches or dings . Looks like it has had only the gentlest of use . Comes on its original bracelet which is very heavy duty and made from solid links instead of pressed steel . Fits a large 7.5" wrist . The movement has recently been serviced and is running smoothly and holding time well , with the chronograph function snapping back to zero just as it should . My first passion was for Seiko watches and find the quality of them is as good as any Swiss time piece and there longevity is second to non . One of the nicest model Seiko ever made and screams 1970s . It has a fabulous auto chrono movement and you would have to be a wealthy man back then to buy one . A real man's watch with great size and presence and a timeless classic .
