ORIGINAL 1970S RETRO WATCHOMEGA SEAMASTER CHRONO-QUARTZ REF 000098
A rare treat for all you omega lovers - classic 1970s watch using the latest electronic technology and the cutting edge of its time . This is absolutely massive and known as the Albatross , it is Omegas 1976 Montreal Olympic official timing watch . Not mint but absolutely excellent used condition . Designed with the same clean looking analogue display to match the timing board at the Olympics that Omega designed and made . It uses a 32khz crystal for keeping optimum time . The digital display is for the chronograph functions and also has a lap time feature . When not used as a chronograph it shows seconds for normal time keeping . The analogue display is very clear and has a tiny date window at 3 o clock . the date and time is quick set and simple to use . The dial is immaculate with no patina . The huge crystal is scratch free and all comes housed in an extremely large stainless steel case and bracelet . It is made unusually heavy and robust and hewed out of solid stainless steel with brushed finish to all parts except the polished bezel . It has only slight marks here and there but nothing of any serious significance and if it is very near mint . The bracelet has all the 16 links it had when new and fits a very large wrist . Comes in its original box and with a copy of full instructions . I have one of these in my own personal collection and it is one of my all time favourites . This is an extra special watch and in perfect working order with all function operating fine . Not a cheap watch to own but the chance of buying one of these comes round only every now and then and normally more expensive than this and not normally in such nice condition . It is a true investment and a pleasure to own .
