ORIGINAL 1970S RETROWATCH
OMEGA SEAMASTER CHRONOMETER F300 Hz REF NO 00009
A rare treat for all you omega lovers - classic 1970s watch using the latest electronic technology and the cutting edge of its time. This is serious quality and these electronic watches are getting very collectable. The movement is based around Bullova's Accutron system of using a tuning fork that is vibrated by small electro magnets and the vibrations are used as the power source for the watches mechanical movement. It is extremely accurate and allowed Omega to market them with a chronometer badge. Swiss made and it really shows with this fantastic build quality, being hewed out of solid stainless steel for the case and bracelet. It is very heavy and you certainly know it is on your wrist. This model is a fine example in used but extremely nice condition with the case and bracelet showing only the very gentlest of marks and no deep scratches. The crystal has a couple of very small scratches which can only be seen at certain angles . Time is shown on a sunken black dial with two tiers and fancy chrome batons , furnished with quick set day/date window at 3 but does not read in english. It is running perfectly and holding time ( hear the classic Accutron humming when you put it to your ear ) . Fits up to a 7.7" wrist and i can supply a buckle extension to allow a further inch so up to 8.7" is no problem . Large dimensions all round on this serious man's retro watch.
