ORIGINAL 1970s RETRO WATCH
OMEGA SEAMASTER CHRONOMETER DIVERS ELECTRONIC F300Hz
REF 12JA16
A rare treat for all you omega lovers - classic 1970s watch using the latest electronic technology and the cutting edge of its time. This is serious quality and these electronic watches are getting very collectible. The movement is based around Bullova's Accutron system of using a tuning fork that is vibrated by small electro magnets and the vibrations are used as the power source for the watches mechanical movement. It is extremely accurate and allowed Omega to market them with a chronometer badge.
Swiss made and it really shows with this fantastic build quality, being hewed out of solid stainless steel for the case and bracelet. This model is a fine example and very very rare being a divers model . Brand new and been in storage for the last 40 years with no scratches or unwanted marks . Time is shown on a sunken dial in two tone brushed silver with smart chrome batons and a quick set date . The crown is screw down like all good divers watches and it features a rotating outer bezel . It is running perfectly and holding time ( here the classic Accutron humming when you put it to your ear ) . Fits up to a huge 8" wrist and large dimensions all round on this serious mans retro watch
Watch dimensions
Top case to bottom 46mm , side to side ( without crown ) 41mm , thickness ( crystal to back cover ) 12.5mm .
