ORIGINAL 1970S RETRO WATCH
LONGINES ULTRONIC CHRONOGRAPH TUNING FORK WATCH REF JUL0941
A rare treat for all you Tuning Fork lovers - classic 1970s watch using the latest electronic technology and the cutting edge of its time . This is serious quality and these electronic watches are getting very collectible . The movement is based around Bullova's Accutron system of using a tuning fork that is vibrated by small electro magnets and the vibrations are used as the power source for the watches mechanical movement . It is extremely accurate and produced only by three companies in this very rare chronograph version - Longines , Certina and Omega . Swiss made and it really shows with this fantastic build quality , being hewed out of solid stainless steel for the case and bracelet . It is very heavy and you certainly know it is on your wrist . This model is a nice used example and very very rare . Features a clean white dial set in a rectangular aperture . Sporting sub dials at 6 and 9 for chrono function and running seconds at 12 and a quick set day/date . There are some marks gained through usage as you can see but it looks to have an easy life and is in very good order . It has had a service and is in perfect running order and holding time ( hear the classic accutron humming when you put it to your ear ) . The chronograph is also working perfectly and resetting back to zero just as it should . Fits up to a 7.5" wrist and I can make this up to 8.5" with a buckle extension if needed .
Top case to bottom 40mm , side to side ( without crown ) 36mm , thickness ( crystal to back cover ) 15mm
