ORIGINAL 1960S RETRO WATCH     BENRUS ELECTRONIC

Here is a fine example of the very rare Benrus electronic , Circa early 1970s . Not to be confused with a quartz watch because there is no quartz crystal in here . It uses an elector magnet to swing the balance wheel and from there on is just like a mechanical watch but with just a different power source . Electric watches are rapidly becoming very collectable with some people just specialising in collecting them . This new old stock piece is quite exceptional in this massive size and would look silly on skinny arms . It has a beautiful sunken dial in brown with a gold hour marker ring and sporting a quick set day date window at 3 o clock . The very retro square case has awesome lines and complimented by hiding the crown . Finished in brushed gold plate with stainless back cover and separate battery hatch . Comes fitted on a quality , new , leather strap between its 25mm lugs . Running perfectly having just been serviced and holding time very well . Rare , handsome , collectable and at this price is an investment .
