ORIGINAL 1970s RETRO WATCH
ETERNA SONIC ELECTRONIC - REF 12JA6
A very high grade watch and cutting edge technology of its time . Based around Bullova's Accutron system of using a tuning fork that is vibrated by electro magnets and the vibrations are used as a power source for the watch mechanical parts . The movement is a Mosaba ESA 9162 which is also used by Omega , IWC , Tissot , Zenith , Certina , Baume and Rado as well as others . Circa 1969 to 1976 ,
Swiss made with fabulous build quality . The watch is in good used condition and a real eye catching 1970s rarity . It sports a glorious electric red dial with 3D hour batons and chromium hands . There are some small spots to the dial and blister between the 4 and 5 hour marker which are not easy to see and not distracting from the beautiful colour . The crystal is mineral glass with a couple of slight scratches . Watch case is in stainless steel and a handsome rectangular shape typical of the 70s with a very heavy bracelet complete with all original links . Signed on dial , crown , movement , buckle and back cover . Running perfectly with the trade mark hum . This watch is keeping time correctly and the second hand sweeps around the dial just like an expensive watch should . A fabulous collectors item that will go up in value . High quality and very sought after .
