ORIGINAL 1960S RETRO WATCH
CERTINA BIOSTAR ELECTRONIC
Get a load of this watch . It is the only watch i know of that features a biorhythmic display and certainly the first . Biorhythm charts illustrate the principle that we are influenced by physical, emotional, and intellectual cycles. Many people report that they can improve the quality of their lives by monitoring the highs and lows of these cycles and acting accordingly. Using a very complex method the user's biorhythm can be calculated .If the user remained unsure about there proper biorhythm, the user could send his results to The Biorhythmic Center at Basle , Switzerland . It is a Swiss made watch with a rare electronic movement , Circa 1960s . Not to be confused with a quartz watch because there is no quartz crystal in here . It uses a Dynatron ESA Y2 9156 movement developed from 1962 . Inside you will find an electro-magnet and circuit board to swing the balance wheel and from there on is just like a mechanical watch but with just a different power source . The movement is featured on page 124 of Pieter Doensens famous " Watch " book . The watch is brand new old stock with a couple of slight tool marks to the back cover where the battery has been changed . The dial is very interesting in grey with chrome and white batons / hands . It has date window at 3 and the biorhythm readout in the colourful half moon display at 12 . Free from any patina , the dial is pristine and the crystal is scratch free . Fitted in a very large all stainless steel case with barely a mark at all apart from the very lightest of storage marks hardly worth a mention . Comes on its original quality leather strap . Running perfectly having just been serviced and holding time very well . Rare , handsome , collectable and a great investment .
