ORIGINAL 1970S RETRO WATCH
BULER QUARTZThis watch is high quality Swiss made piece and one of the earliest quartz watches made. It uses a Tissot 2030 Cal movement and predecessor to what Tissot put in their F1 models. Take a look at the picture and you can see the incredible little stepper motor that runs the watch. The hour hand is set by pulling the crown out and turning but the second and min hands are set using a sequence of pushing and holding the crown in like a button instead of turning like a crown. The stepper motor whirrs the hands into position using metal gears and cogs unlike today’s modern watches with a penny size piece of plastic inside them. This was cutting edge technology of its time and seems nearly bullet proof, fabulously reliable.
The dial is a handsome looker in silver with pin stripes, chrome hour indexes and hands with a date window at 3. It is covered with a mineral glass crystal and set in all stainless steel case and bracelet. Features great angular lines and an unusual octagonal shape case. Totally original and in brand new condition, never used and just as if you bought it from the shop yesterday although it is over 30 years old. This watch is in perfect working order and holding time accurately. A great investment as early electric and quartz watches are being bought up rapidly by specialist collectors.
