ORIGINAL 1970S RETRO WATCH

BENRUS TECHNOQUARTZ REF MY1010

Here is a fine example of the very rare Benrus Technoquartz electronic watch , Circa early 1970s . One of the earliest quartz movements with nearly all of Benrus electronic movements during the 1970s being supplied by the famous Lip company . Brand new old stock and awesome retro styling with its large chunky case . Benrus are getting very collectible , especially the harder to find models like this . Cutting edge technology of its time went into this watch . It has an ETA mechanical movement adapted to take Motorola electronics to power it . It uses metal plates and gears unlike and far removed from today's cheap plastic quartz movements . Fabulous looks with a handsome green dial and set off well with gold and blue hour batons and quick set day/date . Check out the second hand - it has a " Z " on the end to signal it is a quartz . The massive oval case is in brushed gold plate and shaped so typical of the 1970s . The crown is signed with the Benrus insignia . Comes fitted on a quality padded leather strap in matching green . Running perfectly having just been serviced and holding time very well . Rare , handsome , collectible and at this price is an investment .

Watch dimensions
