This is an exceptional watch by Wittnauer. It is in used condition but very near mint. It uses the Landeron movement cal 4750 but it is not stamped on the movement. I can see the movement has "Wittnauer Watch Co Inc - Swiss - 12 jewels unadjusted 11EW ď. The Landeron was developed and first appeared during 1960 and uses a balance wheel and fixed coil system to propel the movement. The amazing cutting edge technology that was used in this watch is reflected by the tell tail signs on the dial - and one of the most beautiful dials you will ever see. It is finished in matt silver with chrome batons and hands. Wow what hands it has with electric or lightening zigzags to the second and min hand as well as the logo at 12 and then an incredible hour hand consisting of a circle with pointer at the tip. The dial is flawless with no fading or unwanted marks and capped with a scratch free crystal. The case and bracelet are totally original and machined from stainless steel. It has a classic shaped case and the bracelet is made of solid link upper half with the lower part being sprung and flexible to allow the watch to fit any size wrist. Signed on the bracelet, crown, dial and movement. I canít see any heavy or deep scratches or dings at all and the watch is in fabulous condition with only the lightest of marks. It could not have had hardly any use at all and even better than some new old stock watches I have seen. Perfect working order, fitted with a new battery and holding time perfectly. These are known for not being the best timekeepers but I canít fault this one. I love these technologically advanced watches and they are getting very rare and sought after by collectors but what gets more than anything with this is its beauty.
